At The Island Game (the "Company" or "we"), we want all of our customers to enjoy gaming as a planned and budgeted entertainment option – like an evening out for dinner, the theater, a concert or a sporting event. However, as with many other things in life, it is possible to get too much of a good thing and we realize that not individuals exercise the same amount of caution and control. Moderation is the key for all who gamble.

Never gamble when it interferes with work or family responsibilities, when in recovery for addictive disorders or dependencies, when the gambling is illegal, or when trying to make up for prior gambling losses. Excessive use of alcohol when gambling can be risky. Irresponsibly using alcohol can affect a person's judgment and interfere with the ability to adhere to predetermined limits.

Preventing Underage Gambling

It is illegal for anyone under 18 to hold an account, be in the Web Shop's premises and participate in any gaming activities for money at The Island Game.

TIG requires all customers to be 18 years or older. We perform a verification check and require valid identifcation to validate the age and identity of all customers during the account opening process. TIG actively monitors for underage accounts and uses a variety of tools to verify information. TIG never engages in advertising directed at minors. We reserve the right to refuse entry to our premises, ask for age verification information from customers., and suspend customer's accounts until the requested information that verifies appropriate age to our satisfaction is received.

Unfortunately, no system is foolproof. If you know a person under 18 who is registered with TIG, or enters the premises to gamble, please notify our Customer Compliance Service team 457-HELP - 457-4357). If a person with an account is found to be under the age of 18, such person's account will be terminated.

Setting Limits

Most gamblers are casual players – they do it for fun and entertainment. Experts agree that casual gambling with affordable wagers can be a harmless, enjoyable pastime. Responsible gamblers understand that gambling entails risk. That is why gambling responsibly means setting predetermined, acceptable limits. People who set responsible limits are gambling with funds they can afford to lose. Those limits differ from person to person, according to their financial situations. Setting those limits – and sticking to them – is crucial. A player can establish his own limits and provide direction to others by developing a set of personal guidelines to determine whether, when, and how much to gamble.

A customer can set the following limits on their account:

  • Wager Limit

  • Loss Limit

  • Deposit Limit

  • Withdrawal Limit

A customer wishing to set any of the above limits can pre-set their limits online, and then submit such a request on a Self Imposed Limits (SIL) Form to TIG's Customer Compliance Representatives. A customer may change or remove the limits that they have set at any time by written notice to TIG. Any changes to limits set shall become effective 24 hours after TIG has received proper written notice. Any notice received to reduce a limit set shall become effective immediately. Self-Exclusion

SELF-IMPOSED GAMING LIMITS / SELF-EXCLUSION

Percy's @ The Island Game has long been committed to providing assistance, education and direction to the communities in which they are located. We are even more committed to providing a socially acceptable and responsible gaming environment, throughout The Bahamas.

We are confident that the majority of our customers game responsibly and are in control of their actions, however we recognize that there may be some individuals that would like the option to limit their gaming activities without fully excluding themselves from the game.

Therefore, in addition to our voluntary self-exclusion option, we have put in place a Self-Imposed Gaming Limits Option to encourage responsible gaming.


WHAT IS SELF-IMPOSED GAMING LIMITS

This option allows individuals to voluntarily place limits on their gaming activities at The Island Game and take control of their playing experience. Limits can be placed as follows:

  • Deposit Limit: A limit to the amount you may deposit to your account during a specified period of time;

  • Loss Limit: A limit to the maximum amount that may be lost on any number of gaming transactions (lottery) or during any specified period of time;

  • Bet Limit: A limit to any wager (Sports betting)


HOW DO I VOLUNTARILY LIMIT MY GAMING ACTIVITY

Island Game customers wishing to place limits on their gaming activity must complete the Self Imposed Limits form, and submit it in person to our Customer Compliance Department on Wulff Road. The form must be delivered by the individual account holder, and must be accompanied by a valid, acceptable form of identification. ( Valid Passport,, a valid driver's licence, or a Voters' Card in the name of the account holder). The SIL Form noted above must be completely filled out, as it includes the information listed below:

  • Name of account holder, (which must match Identification document)

  • Account number(s)

  • Limit or limits to be placed on the account

  • Specific time period for each limit set

  • Signature of the Account Holder


WHAT HAPPENS IF I REACH MY SELF-IMPOSED LIMITS

Once you have reached any limit placed on your account our system will send a warning message to any display screen currently accessing your account indicating that your limit has been reached. Once this happens, The Island Game will not accept any deposits, permit any losses or accept any bets, which are in excess of any limits identified in the notice. Persons requesting that a limit to be set to zero will not be subject to any direct marketing or promotions of gaming offerings.


HOW CAN I CHANGE OR REMOVE SELF-IMPOSED LIMITS

We at the Island Game take responsible gaming seriously, and therefore at no time will any or our sales persons, customer service representatives or marketing personnel encourage any customer who has set limits to their accounts to increase or remove them. Individuals who have set a limit to their account, who may now be desirous of changing or removing that limit must submit in writing, to the Customer Compliance Department, a request that the limit(s) be amended or removed. Any all requests for the increase or removal of a limit will not take effect until 24 hours after said request has been received by the Customer Compliance Representative. Requests for the reduction of a limit takes effect upon receipt of the written request. The time period for your self-imposed limit(s) is your decision entirely. All limits however, must be set for a period of no less than thirty-days.


WHAT IS SELF-EXCLUSION

Self Exclusion means banning yourself from The Island Games Online Casinos for a period of time Once you log in to your account and select the "Change Settings Tab" you may opt to exclude yourself from casino play.


WHO SHOULD CONSIDER SELF-EXCLUSION

Anyone who:

  • Thinks about spinning every day

  • Spins/plays more than they can afford, or beyond their limit

  • Borrows money to spin

  • Experiences anxiety related to gambling, like losing sleep or worrying

  • Finds it hard to stop spinning

  • May need help refraining from spinning during certain times of year


HOW CAN I REMOVE MY SELF-EXCLUSION STATUS WHEN I WANT TO PLAY AGAIN

Individuals who have opted to Self-Exclude from Casino play for a period,and who may now be desirous of removing that exclusion and returning to regular play must submit in writing, to the Customer Compliance Department, a request for removal of Self Exclusion Status. Once this is received, Casino Play will become available within 24 hours.

WHAT IS SELF-EXCLUSION

Self-Exclusion allows individuals who recognize that they may have a gambling problem to voluntarily exclude themselves from gaming activities at The Island Game and other gaming facilities throughout the Bahamas.


HOW DO I GET PLACED ON THE SELF-EXCLUSION LIST

You may obtain information about self-exclusion and an application form either by downloading it from our website (www.theislandgame.com) or by visiting any Island Game location and requesting a Self-Exclusion Form from the Supervisor/Manager on duty. You must physically enter an Island Game location and complete the application for self-exclusion and submit it to the relevant TIG personnel with valid identification (outlined on the application).


WHAT HAPPENS IF I GO TO AN ISLAND GAME LOCATION TO PLAY

After you have been placed on the self-exclusion list, Island Game personnel may refuse to accept your wagers or ask you to leave the premises entirely. Should you refuse to leave the premises the TIG personnel may contact the Royal Bahamas Police Force and have you removed from the premises and/or arrested for trespassing. If you do gamble you will be unable to collect any winnings or recover any losses. You will not be allowed to participate in any promotions carried out by The Island Game.


HOW LONG WILL I BE ON THE SELF-EXCLUSION LIST

The period of self-exclusion is your decision entirely. When you request self-exclusion, you are given the option of choosing a period of one year, five years or lifetime. Where applicable, your time expires after the period chosen has passed.
